Call-In Day of Action to Protect Pregnant People in New York

Only a few days remain before New York’s legislative session ends on June 2. NOW is the time for lawmakers to act. Please join our all-day call flood to demand passage of an Equality Amendment that would prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, disability, or sex (including pregnancy and pregnancy outcomes), sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. We have seen other states take steps to criminalize people for various pregnancy outcomes, and the Supreme Court is no longer a reliable source of protection for the essential right to an abortion. It is vital that New York State pass an inclusive Equality Amendment THIS SESSION as a first step to explicitly prohibiting discrimination on the basis of pregnancy and pregnancy outcomes (including induced abortion, stillbirth, and miscarriage). Sign up to call the governor and your state reps, and we’ll provide you with a call script ahead of time. Time slots are available 9:00-6:00, and your calls will only take a few minutes.
