Thanks again to everyone who joined us for our recent Operation Save Abortion kick-off event. This fall, we’ll keep the work going with our four-part activism series. At each meeting, we'll update you on BKForge business, and feature a speaker or panel discussion on the key ways you can get involved to save abortion access and promote reproductive justice.
Session 1: State and Local Advocacy
Wednesday, September 14, 7:00-8:30pm
This month, we'll focus on state and local advocacy in the fight for reproductive freedom. We'll hear from Emily Kadar, Director of Women's Affairs for Governor Kathy Hochul's office, who will speak to both her experience in the governor's office and her previous work as an advocate with the National Institute for Reproductive Health and the Center for Reproductive Rights.
We'll meet on the lawn outside Old Stone House (336 3rd St, Brooklyn, playground side of the building). Old Stone House will provide folding chairs. If you are new or newish to BKForge, please feel free to come at 6:40-7:00 for a quick orientation.
